Trip Tours?

I thought it might be fun to take a tour this year, aside from the Behind the Seeds tour at Future World in Epcot, of course. The tours do cost extra, but the price varies by the tour.

I looked up some information on tours at my favorite planning site, allearsnet.com, and here are the best looking tours for our group. PLEASE COMMENT. PLEASE. SOMEONE. ANYONE. COMMENT.

HIDDEN TREASURES
Epcot

Explore the art, architecture, costumes, customs, cultures and history of EPCOT'S World Showcase Countries and take a peak behind the scenes.

Offered Tuesday & Thursday from 9 a.m. to noon, check-in at Epcot Guest Relations (inside). This 3-hour adventure explores the pavilions of World Showcase.

$59 per person, plus your Epcot admission.

UNDISCOVERED FUTURE WORLD
Epcot

Learn about the history and creation of Epcot and the legacy Walt set forth for the Walt Disney World Resort. See how each pavilion in Future World celebrates human accomplishment and presents the challenge of the future.

This outdoor walking tour covers all of the Future World pavilions and gives you a glance at how each area celebrates man's accomplishments and challenges. Visit a VIP lounge area, get a backstage peek at Cast Services and the IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth barges at the Epcot marina to see how the Epcot show is put together. Visit with one of the International Ambassadors and learn more about the program.

There are some fun "perks" associated with this tour, one is a special Limited Edition Undiscovered Future World pin given to participants.

The 4 to 4.5 hour tours are offered Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 9 a.m. Meet 15 minutes prior in the Guest Relations Lobby (to the left of Spaceship Earth as you enter the park).

NOTE: Guests are able to arrive before the 9 a.m. opening in Future World by identifying themselves as being on the Undiscovered Future World tour. There is a guest list at the turnstiles. Use the same far right queue the Princess Storybook breakfast (Norway) guests use.

$49 per person, plus your Epcot admission.

Around the World at Epcot --
on a Segway!

On February 14, 2004, Epcot introduced Around the World at Epcot on a Segway, those futuristic-looking upright transportation devices on which you sometimes see Cast Members zipping around Epcot.

The tour, which lasts two hours, has been so popular that it now runs THREE TIMES daily -- at 8:30, 9 and 9:30 a.m. Check in 15 minutes before the scheduled tour time at the Guest Relations lobby inside the turnstiles.

NOTE: Guests are able to arrive before the 9 a.m. opening in Future World by identifying themselves as being on the Around the World at Epcot Segway tour. There is a guest list at the turnstiles. Use the same far right queue the Princess Storybook breakfast (Norway) guests use.

The first hour of the tour teaches safety rules and allows you to practice riding the Segway, while the second hour is a tour around World Showcase before it officially opens to visitors.

Cost for the tour is $80 (park admission is NOT included).

Some restrictions apply: Minimum age is 16 (guardian must sign a waiver for ages 16 and 17), maximum weight for participants is 250 pounds, and expectant mothers and persons with special needs may not participate due to safety concerns.

A 15 percent discount will be available for AAA and Disney Vacation Club members, as well as Annual Passholders, Disney VISA cardholders, and Disney Cast Members. A photo ID will be required at the time of the tour.
